Minnesota’s Clean Water Fund has adopted a ‘one watershed, one plan’ approach. Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts President Paul Krabbenhoft says this effort takes a comprehensive look at water management. “It works on the drainage and then it works on the private lands for these smaller projects,” said Krabbenhoft. “It may be soil health or things to retain or reduce water amounts while reducing the nutrients going down the waterways.”
