China is on track to be the leading international buyer of U.S. agricultural products for the third consecutive year. The total value of exported good to China reached record levels in the first half of 2022. Data published by the U.S. Census Bureau showed U.S. agricultural and related product exports to China reached $17.5 billion from January to June. That’s up 15 percent from last year. Leading the way is beef exports that increased 49 percent from 2021. This makes China the third largest destination for U.S. beef behind Japan and South Korea.
