The National Strip Tillage Conference happened in Iowa City, Iowa last week. Environmental Tillage Systems Regional Sales Manager Dave Sender says high input costs have farmers looking for ways to cut costs while increasing productivity. “We’ve seen a tremendous amount of growth in the last year to year and a half. More and more growers are becoming more interested in the other benefits, like improving soil health and reducing compaction.” Sender says strip till technology keeps improving. “We’ve made improvements with machinery options and row units, like being able to adjust the height of row cleaners and split meter bodies for section control.”
