Eighteen Minnesota Farm Bureau members traveled to Washington D.C. last week to meet with lawmakers. “The concern is the late planting season and the conditions in the countryside; I explained to the group what’s happening and the impacts the weather is having on crops,” said Dan Glessing, president, Minnesota Farm Bureau. “Lawmakers say there is no new funding for the 2023 bill so how do we make the most of the current programs that are work and how do we improve in areas that aren’t?” Minnesota Farm Bureau is preparing to send a farm bill survey to members.
