With one week left in the legislative session, Minnesota lawmakers are still trying to reach an agreement on a drought relief package. Minnesota House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Sundin told RRFN more progress is expected once Republican meet over the weekend. At issue is funding for tree seedlings through Department of Natural Resources. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said it’s frustrating it’s taken this long, but he’s confident something can be done before the end of the session.
