Hazen, North Dakota farmer John Weinand started spring fieldwork on Friday. “Like everyone, we’re praying for rain. It was dry this spring even though we had moisture last fall. Now is better than one year ago in that sense.” It remains cold and Weinand is not in a big hurry. “We’re going to do some field peas and barley now as long as we can get into the fields. We’ll use a seed treatment.”
