A federal appeals court rejected a move by agricultural groups to stay the EPA’s ban of chlorpyrifos. In a statement, the coalition of ag groups pursing the effort, including the American Sugarbeet Growers Association and American Soybean Association, said they are disappointed with the court’s decision to deny the motion to stay the rule while the case is being heard. The coalition believes EPA’s decision to revoke chlorpyrifos tolerances is inappropriate and they’re evaluating the court’s decision, talking about next steps. The EPA’s product ban went into effect at the end of February.
