Congress went home for the weekend without passing the infrastructure bill. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party dug in their heels, refusing to vote on the infrastructure bill unless the budget reconciliation bill was brought up at the same time. North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer told Fox News he does not support tying those two bills together. “You’ve got all the moderate Democrats on board with the infrastructure bill and you have the socialists trying to pair them together. You remove all of the leverage from the left if you pass that bill.” Before leaving town, the House passed a stop-gap bill to reauthorize transportation funding through December 3.
