After two years of extensive prevented planting, the New Rockford, North Dakota area is now suffering from a lack of moisture. “The PP ground seems to be the only ground where there will be a fair crop,” said Taylor Koepplin, James River Ag. Koepplin says some wheat may see 20 bushels per acre and others will be at zero. Row crops vary widely. “With pollination coming up in corn, you’re going to have so many stands in each field that it will be tough. You’ll have corn tasseled and you’ll have corn waist high.”
