The North Dakota Grain Dealers Association has filed a letter with the Surface Transportation Board, reiterating its support for the proposed Canadian Pacific acquisition of the Kansas City Southern Railway. This same letter voiced opposition to the bid made by Canadian National. NDGDA said the CP-KCS combination would give grain shippers access to markets across the United States, Canada and Mexico while the CN proposal would “effectively end any opportunity for market expansion for North Dakota CP shippers.”
