On Wednesday, Mexico’s Supreme Court delayed a ruling that could allow the country to import fresh U.S. potatoes. The U.S. potato industry has been waiting since late-February. Mexico’s potato growers are not in favor of fresh U.S. potato imports. The National Confederation of Potato Producers think the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the U.S. and want the Mexican Ag Minister to withdraw their appeals in the cases. If this happens, the legal effort would stall.
