Van Ahn and Company market analyst Kristi Van Ahn says Tuesday’s lower soybeans are impacted by U.S. tariff on China. “This is a big deal. We saw this scare earlier in the spring when President Trump started to talk tariffs. We were able to come back. Now, we’re back talking about it again. Across the board, there’s not much that’s green on the screen. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see beans lock limit here pretty soon.” Van Ahn says China knows agriculture is a sweet spot to hit the U.S. “Analysts are definitely trying to downplay it, but it is a big aspect of the grain trade. Not only that, cattle is down and that comes on the heels of the Dow being down 400 points.”
