North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has awarded 27 specialty crop grants totaling over $3 million. The largest grant is $339,000 for the National Agricultural Genotyping Center to evaluate blight detection in pulse crops through molecular diagnostics. The projects cover the full scope of specialty crops in the state including dry beans, potatoes, field peas, sunflowers and fruit crops.
