A year of service as a North Dakota State FFA officer is inspiring some to pursue a career in agricultural education. Retired FFA Reporter Alicia Hellman from Harvey, North Dakota is majoring in agricultural education at North Dakota State University. “My plans after college include becoming an FFA Advisor and coming back to state convention for the rest of my life.” In North Dakota, there’s no shortage of agricultural education instructors. In fact, there will be 13 students who will student teach across the state in the fall. Hellman says while it’s a tough job with long hours, it’s worth it.
