Jacob Hell, who supervises gestation barns for the North Dakota Pig Co-op at Larimore, has wrapped up his year in the Pork Leadership Institute. “I’m glad I was chosen for Pork Leadership Institute. We got out to Washington twice to meet with our Senators and Representative and had an international trip to Bogota, Colombia. I got to do a lot of things I never thought I’d do and I’m very grateful.” Hell sees pork production as an economic engine that offers great potential to his home state of North Dakota. “We grow the corn and soybeans right here; we have a lot of open areas and a lot of good, local employees.”
RRFN’s coverage of World Pork Expo is sponsored, in part, by the North Dakota Pork Council.
