CHS Ag Services held their annual meeting in Grand Forks last week. Sales Manager Andrew Schulz says the event grows every year. “It’s a product of what we’re trying to do, bringing in good people and helping our farmers.” Despite the tough 2019, CHS Ag Services CEO Ryan Anderson says the company had a strong year financially. “We were able to pay back $13.2 million in patronage to farmer owners. That’s something we’re proud of. We have a supportive customer base and great employees.” Corn harvest impacted some of the attendance at the event. “I don’t know if we expected that, but we’re happy that farmers can get the crop off. It sounds like there’s much improved test weights and manageable moisture.” Anderson also says there’s a new fertilizer plant going in at Hazel. “It’s a 17,000 ton plant. It allows us to receive unit trains. That will be started this spring with an estimated completion in 2021. It will really tie everything together in one location.”
