There may be a fly in the ointment for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Mexico’s trade negotiator Jesus Seade is upset with a provision in the trade agreement that allows the U.S. have attaches in Mexico to monitor compliance with labor standards. Seade says Mexico was not consulted on these terms and will not abide by that language. The U.S. House is expected to vote on ratification of the trade deal on Thursday.
