Difficult weather has taken a toll on Minnesota’s crop. Corn production is expected to be down nine percent from last year and soybean production is down 18 percent. At 170 bushels per acre, the average corn yield is down 12 bushels from last year. Soybean yields average 45 bushels per acre, down four bushels. Minnesota sugarbeet production is down 15 percent and potato production is down four percent.
