A new study from the University of Minnesota says the risk of African Swine Fever in the U.S. has doubled since the outbreak began last year in China. The research, which was published in a scientific journal, said African Swine Fever will most likely enter the U.S. through the smuggling of pork products in the luggage of people flying into the country. If ASF was found in the U.S., this research said it could cost billions of dollars for the U.S. swine industry.
