Salem, South Dakota farmer Andrew Streff is a finalist for the American Star in Agricultural Placement award. In October, he’ll travel to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis for the award ceremony. “This award involves the experience I have working on our farm with my dad, along with two different internships in agronomy and research.” Streff is optimistic about the future of agriculture. “There are so many aspects of the agriculture industry people need to know and the best way we can do that is stay educated,” says Streff. “It’s attending events like Dakotafest, talking to business processionals about what we can do on our farms to grow a good crop and ultimately, feed the world.”
