Nutrien reports second quarter net earnings of $858 million. That’s up from $741 million in the same quarter last year. Retail sales for the Saskatchewan-based fertilizer company were down, due to “severe” weather in the U.S., but company officials expect a strong rebound in 2020. Profits for the first half of the year are up for potash and nitrogen.
