The agriculture program at Lake Region State College is getting a new home. Back in April, the college received the go ahead for construction of the Hogstad Ag Education Center. LRSC Precision Agriculture Program Director Preston Sundeen says the building is one step closer to reality. “The first big splash was made with a large donation from Leading Edge Equipment to sponsor a classroom,” says Sundeen. A number of advancements will come with the new building to enhance the student learning environment, including an updated shop and better classroom layout. In order to break ground, additional fundraising for the $3 million building needs to take place. “If the funds can be secured in the next couple months, we hopefully will break ground this fall.” Listen to the interview.
