Grain traders are not paying too much attention to planting delays yet since it’s mid-April. CHS Hedging market analyst Steve Wagner says the lack of fall field work may surprise some. “In some places, they’re behind the curve to get things done,” he says. “It could become an issue, but until we get until the middle of May, I’m not convinced this will be an issue for the market.” Wagner stresses there is still plenty of time to plant.
