The announcement of the new National FFA officer team was a moment Minnesota’s Cameron Addington will never forget. “When I heard my name called for national secretary, I took off running up towards the stage and as I got closer to the steps, I’m embarrassed to say, but I slipped and fell. but quickly picked myself up and made my way on stage to meet my five new teammates,” said Addington. “It truly is a dream come true. I’m just so honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve as the National FFA secretary this year.” Addington is back at Iowa State University to wrap up his classes. He’ll be back in Indianapolis in December to begin his work as a national FFA officer. Listen to the interview.
