Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins is facing criticism over a Halloween-themed social media post. The image, shared on X on Saturday, depicts a Black man standing in front of stacks of cash, with an electronic benefits card and handcuffs pictured as costume accessories. The post reads, “Some costumes come with a price tag. This one comes with a prison sentence.” The man pictured is a social media influencer indicted last month on federal charges involving SNAP fraud. Ohio Representative Shontel Brown condemned the post as racist. Conservatives defended Rollins, pointing out that the image features an actual individual facing fraud charges, rather than a fictional stereotype.
