The American Bankers Association’s premier award for leadership, dedication, and contributions to ag lending is called the Bruining Award. First Dakota National Bank President of Ag Lending, Nate Franzen, received that honor. Franzen, based in Yankton, South Dakota, has been in ag banking for 32 years and is the 30th individual to receive this prestigious award. The award is named after its first recipient, Nebraska banker Frank Bruning.
