The University of Minnesota is cutting $262 million from its budget for fiscal years 2028 and 2029. The ‘U’ lost $1 billion in federal funding over the last year-and-a-half, forcing the systemwide budget reduction. The Crookston campus is facing more than $4 million in cuts.
