For the first time ever, Minnesota and North Dakota are both represented in this year’s National FFA officer team. Cameron Addition is from Cannon Falls, Minnesota and Teagan Erbele is from the Napoleon, North Dakota. In the past 99 years, Minnesota has had ten national officers and North Dakota has had six. Valerie Earley was the Central Region Vice President in 2016-2017 and Amber Haugland of North Dakota had that same role in 2001-2002. The previous national officers from Minnesota are Jason Troendle in 2011-2012, Dean Harder in 1986-1987, Duane Leach in 1962-1963, Bill Sorem in 1952-1953, Donald Bakehouse in 1949-1950, Paul Lindholm in 1948-1949, Sigvald Sandberg in 1944-1045 and Ervin Denisen in 1939-1940. In North Dakota, the previous national officers are Darryle Eastvold in 1961-1962, Osborne Arlien in 1947-1948, Earl Walter in 1940-1941 and Arden Burbidge in 1937-1938.
