Last week 189 American Crystal Sugar Company beet shares were brokered at $4,200 per share. Acres & Shares broker, Jayson Menke, says for the season, 715 shares have been brokered for an average price of $4,168 per share. The first sales of the season were in late August. “The first sale last season wasn’t until November 17,” Menke said. “It took until early January to see the same broker volume we’ve seen this year through mid-October.”
