After a slow start, American Crystal Sugar Company growers are well into the stockpile harvest campaign. “We’re a little bit we’re below average on what we want for tons this year, lower than average and sugar content coming in probably round average, maybe a little bit below,” reports Joe Hastings, general agronomist. “Yep, it’s not the crop that we’ve had the last few years.”
