National 4 H Council Chief Development and Marketing Officer Heather Terry Elliott says the strength of 4 H comes from its national network and the local communities that bring the program to life. “Between six million youth and families, 3,500 educators, 500,000 volunteers, that’s a really powerful network, all housed because of our land grant universities and cooperative Extension that drives it locally.” Even with that national presence, Elliott said 4-H is also hyper-local and relevant to their local communities.”
