In the state-by-state numbers, USDA made a dramatic change in the South Dakota corn yields. At 151 bushels per acre, the latest South Dakota estimate is up six bushels from the September report. North Dakota rose two bushels per acre over the past month to 132 bushels per acre. Minnesota remains unchanged at 195 bushels per acre. Fewer changes were made in the regional soybean estimates. North Dakota’s average yield is now at 32 bushels per acre, up two bushels from September. Minnesota and South Dakota were left unchanged at 49 and 42 bushels per acre respectively.
