Roseau County 4-H used National 4-H Week to build momentum for the year ahead. Extension Educator Sandy Weiland said members recently gathered for an end-of-year celebration and new-year kickoff, bringing youth and adult leaders together. Beyond projects and activities, there is another goal.
“The number one thing that we think about in 4-H is building those life skills that are going to help young people be beyond ready for whatever it is that they have a passion or interest in doing and being,” Weiland said. Whether members move directly into the workforce, pursue technical training or attend college, Weiland said 4-H aims to give them skills they can carry into adulthood. Pasted text
