Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach hopes Congress can move quickly on the farm bill when lawmakers return to Washington after the election. Fischbach said differences between the House and Senate remain, including language dealing with California’s Proposition 12 livestock standards. Year-round E15 is another issue that must be reconciled. The House passed separate bipartisan legislation establishing permanent nationwide year-round E15 sales in May. Fischbach said the Senate’s approach differs from the House proposal. “The language in the Senate, we’re going to have to work on and we’re going to have to come to some agreement.”
