A new Associated Press-KFF survey finds about half of rural registered voters believe the U.S. economy has worsened since President Donald Trump returned to office. At the same time, 48 percent approve of Trump’s overall job performance. Groceries, gasoline and health care are among the leading financial concerns, with rural voters more likely than voters overall to express concern about paying for food and fuel. The results also show substantial partisan differences in perceptions of the economy. The survey included 2,241 rural registered voters and was conducted August 12-24. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus three percentage points.
