California Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation removing a barrier to implementing a law authorizing gasoline containing up to 15 percent ethanol. California had been the only state where E15 could not be sold. The change opens the nation’s largest automobile market to the higher ethanol blend, providing another potential market for U.S. corn and ethanol.
