Agricultural drones are becoming more than a crop-scouting tool, with newer models capable of handling spraying, spreading fertilizer and mapping. Frontier Precision showcased that technology at the Big Iron Farm Show, including the XAG P150 Max application drone. “We offer XAG, DJI, Hylio, really a bunch of different brands,” said Frontier Precision’s Carter Broek. “We kind of base that off of what best fits the grower’s operation.” The P150 Max can be equipped for liquid application, granular spreading and field mapping. The model has an 80-liter spray tank and uses autonomous flight planning and precision positioning technology. Frontier Precision also featured its OPI grain bin management system at Big Iron.
