Drought remains widespread across Minnesota, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, released Thursday with conditions through September 8. More than ninety four percent of Minnesota is abnormally dry or worse, with nearly sixty nine percent in moderate drought or worse. Severe drought covers thirty percent of the state, while just over seven percent is in extreme drought. No exceptional drought is reported.
