Red River Farm Network Co-founder John Vasichek, 80, passed away this past Thursday. John was raised in Lankin, North Dakota. He began his career at KNOX in Grand Forks and later co-founded the Red River Farm Network. A passionate advocate of the profession, John served as chair of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Marketing and Promotion Advisory Committee. NAFB went on to honor John with its Meritorious Service Award in 2011. A visitation and prayer service will be held Tuesday evening in Lawton, followed by the funeral Wednesday in Devils Lake.
