During a Friday night rally, President Donald Trump made a joke about this critical shipping lane. “After we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated,” Trump said. “Pretty soon, I’ll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States.” The Strait was also top of mind for Trump today. In an interview with Fox News, Trump said “if Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the s**t out of them.”
