North Dakota Farm Service Agency Executive Director Brad Thykeson says extra time is needed to enroll in the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program due to the complexity of the program. “We’re trying to use our sister agency, RMA, for a lot of the data that we populate our forms with and that hasn’t gone as smoothly as I think that the bean counters in DC thought, so we have run into some difficulties.” Thykeson encourages farmers to work directly with their local FSA office if they have questions or need to update an application.
