Soybean Checkoff success stories were highlighted at the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council exhibit at Farmfest. “We’ve sponsored soy-based tires with Goodyear and that was our biggest success story, and Skechers Shoes used the same technology,” said Gail Donkers, MSRPC chair. “Our newest success story has been a fire retardant that is PFAS-free, environmentally friendly, and made from soybean products.” Donkers recently traveled to Egypt to promote Minnesota soybeans. “They are the #2 importer of whole soybeans that they use in aquaculture.”
