The last farm bill to pass was pre-COVID. “It’s time to get the farm bill done,” said Dan Glessing, president, Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation. “When you look at the conservation title, the rural development title, doubling down on the trade, there’s a lot of good things that need to get done in there.” After the farm bill stalled in the Senate Agriculture Committee, Glessing released this statement. “While Minnesota Farm Bureau appreciates Senators Klobuchar and Boozman’s continued leadership on the farm bill, today’s setback is a disappointment. Glessing praised Farmfest as an opportunity for his members to connect with political leaders about policy priorities.
