AgCountry Farm Credit Services Vice President of Legislative and Public Affairs Andy Martin says lawmakers need to capitalize on the limited legislative calendar to complete a new farm bill. “There’s not very many legislative days left before the election, when election-year politics can come into play,” Martin told RRFN. “We’ve had three extensions already; we don’t want to go up to four. We’ve had this one step forward, two steps back. Let’s get this thing across the finish line.”
