Farmland values continue to push higher. According to USDA’s annual farmland values report, cropland values nationwide totaled $6,020 per acre. That’s up nearly $200 or 3. 3 percent from last year. In this region, Minnesota cropland is valued at $7,300 per acre, up 4.3 percent from 2025. The crop ground in South Dakota increased three-and-a-half percent, totaling $4,770 per acre. USDA estimates North Dakota cropland values had a year-to-date increase of 3.3 percent, totaling $2,800 per acre.
