A new DTN weather analysis shows much of the Corn Belt is experiencing its driest July in more than a decade. Corn production regions have received just 3.42 inches of rainfall this month, roughly one-third less than July 2025. Combined with above-normal temperatures, the conditions are increasing crop stress as corn finishes pollination and soybeans move into pod set. The report raises concerns that continued hot, dry weather could limit yield potential during the critical reproductive stages of both crops.
