The spring wheat got off to a good start, but hit the brakes with the recent heat. Kent Rivard, who operates K Star Ag Services at Thief River Falls, says some of that crop will be ready for harvest by the end of the month. “Canola looks fantastic, probably one of the nicer canola crops we’ve had,” said Rivard. “We know the heat’s not doing it any favors, but it sure seems like we tend to do better on the canola and the heat than years ago.”
