Syngenta is taking BASF to court, claiming there has been a patent infringement with one of its herbicides. The dispute is over the formulation for a corn herbicide. The new BASF corn herbicide, Ridivex, is awaiting approval by the Environmental Protection Agency. Syngenta said it infringes on its patent for Storen herbicide. Syngenta wants the courts to block BASF’s launch of the new product and is seeking financial damages.
