Corn and ethanol organizations are urging the Trump administration to finalize proposed 25 percent tariffs on Brazilian imports while addressing additional barriers to U.S. ethanol exports. The groups say Brazil’s 18 percent ethanol tariff and its low-carbon fuel program have sharply reduced access for American ethanol. A final Section 301 decision is expected by mid-July.
