The Energy Department has updated its 45Z GREET Model. The updated version implements changes to prevent feedstocks from outside North America from qualifying for 45Z fuel production. It also includes more specifics for renewable natural gas from anaerobic digesters. Growth Energy is describing this action as ‘a major win for the ethanol industry.’
